## AI: not as hype, but as opportunity

AI is everywhere. The real question is no longer whether to do something with AI, but how. In this keynote, AI ethicist and futurist Lisanne Buik takes you through Gracious AI, a way of building and working in which humans and AI reinforce each other.

Using stories and examples, she shows why many AI initiatives get stuck between ambition and implementation, and what is needed to make AI sustainable, scalable and responsible. Not by starting with tools, but with vision and strategy: what do you stand for, what choices do you make, and how do you translate that into design and implementation. Not by adding ethics afterwards, but by using it as design information.

This keynote is an invitation to look at AI differently: not as hype or risk, but as an opportunity to work more effectively and ethically, creating a competitive advantage. ### Biography Lisanne Belly

Lisanne Buik is an AI ethicist, futurist and founder of Gracious AI. She advises leaders, companies and public institutions on the responsible and future-proof deployment of AI, supporting them in embedding ethics in AI strategy, design and decision-making. She has spoken at leading venues such as TEDx and worked with organizations such as Microsoft, DPG Media and Philips. She also works with government agencies across Europe and is conducting PhD research in Rome on the ethics of AI in design.
