On Friday, March 6, Pegamento was all about something other than technology alone. Together with Together for Zeist we organized a special Impact Afternoon, during which we went out with the entire company to volunteer at five different locations in Zeist. In doing so, we as an organization gave something back to society and our immediate environment in a concrete way.
At Pegamento, we believe that real impact goes beyond smart solutions and good service. It’s also about being involved in the world around us. That’s precisely why we think it’s important to free up time and attention for initiatives that really matter locally.
Making impact together, together for Zeist
Our cooperation with Samen voor Zeist has been ongoing for some time. This Impact Afternoon was a beautiful and tangible fulfillment of that collaboration. Not just talking about social commitment, but actually doing it. With colleagues, with energy and with the conviction that together you achieve more.
Spread out over the afternoon, Pegamento colleagues committed to organizations and projects that do important work in the municipality of Zeist in various ways. The registration lists beforehand already showed how much enthusiasm there was: the teams were full and the commitment was high.
Five places, five ways to make a difference
During this Impact Afternoon, our colleagues were active in five different locations:
Community center Vollenhove
Here it was all about meeting, attention and sociability for residents of the I-flat in Vollenhove. A place where people come together for contact, activities and connection in the neighborhood.
Martha Flora in Bosch and Duin
At Martha Flora we helped create a warm and creative afternoon for residents. A valuable environment where personal attention and small scale are key.
Reinaerde in Den Dolder
At this location, colleagues literally rolled up their sleeves. Think of work in green areas and organizing a fun, active afternoon for residents.
Project behind the front door – in the I-flat, together with Buurtzorg Jong
A very concrete project in which colleagues helped to make a difference for a family in a vulnerable situation. From redecorating and painting to cleaning up and decorating: just this kind of practical help can mean a huge amount.
Kringloop Zeist
Kringloop Zeist also worked hard. There colleagues helped sorting, checking, pricing and preparing items brought in. Work that is not only sustainable, but also has social impact.
More than an afternoon of volunteering
What made this day special was that it was not just about helping, but also about meeting, collaborating and understanding what is going on locally. Once again it became visible how many wonderful organizations are active in Zeist and how much difference they make for residents every day.
For Pegamento, then, this afternoon was more than just a loose initiative. It fits with how we look at our role as an organization: socially engaged, locally connected and willing to contribute our knowledge, time and energy where needed.
Service desk remained accessible in emergencies
Although much of our team was in action on Friday, March 6, during Impact Afternoon, our service desk remained available as usual in case of emergencies. Customers with an urgent breakdown or business-critical question could contact us as usual via the familiar service desk channels. Thus, social engagement and our services also went hand in hand that day.
Together for Zeist
We are proud to have been able to organize this afternoon together with Samen voor Zeist. Their efforts to connect people, organizations and initiatives in Zeist connects nicely with what we stand for. On Friday, March 6, we gave substance to this together: making impact together, together for Zeist.
