Once every five years, Amsterdam turns into a sea of masts, flags and music. Sail Amsterdam is not only a celebration for lovers of the maritime world, but also a time when people really meet. On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Pegamento and several relations sailed through the colorful decor of historic tall ships, authentic ships and tens of thousands of visitors along the quays.

The power of meeting
In everyday life, customer contact often revolves around technology: smart solutions, efficient workflows and improving accessibility. But behind all those processes are simply people. Sail offered a space to break away from the screen and get to know each other better in a casual setting. A laugh, a conversation about a memory of a previous Sail, or just quietly enjoying the view together, those are the moments where real connection is made.
Experiencing together instead of meeting
Normally, meetings often take place around the conference table, but on the water different conversations arise. The wind, the music in the distance and the imposing ships invite stories, anecdotes and the sharing of experiences. Thus, Sail became not an event where Pegamento was “present,” but a shared experience with relations and partners with whom we work daily on customer-oriented solutions.
Customer contact as the basis
For Pegamento, the key point is that customer contact is more than numbers and processes. It is a human interaction in which empathy, attention and listening are central. Sail showed in a special way what that looks like in practice: sailing together means setting the course together, facing challenges together and especially having fun together.
A memory that lasts
Where ships at Sail set sail again after a few days, memories of this edition will linger for a long time. For everyone present it was not only a spectacular event, but above all a confirmation that cooperation yields the greatest return: having fun in what you do together and really getting to know each other better.
