Dozens of children of the employees of the company Pegamento were surprised with their own paper paycheck and ”salary.” It was a playful way to thank the children for all the patience they have had with their working parents. It was chosen to reward all 30 children whose mom and/or dad work at the company with their own salary.
Handwritten thank you cards
There was a thick year of remote work. Rob Roode of Pegamento says, “in the last 12 months, dad/mom had to ‘teemsun’ at the kitchen table, fewer friends could play at home, and the kids got coffee more often. Actually, they also worked a little. A paycheck was no more than deserved.’ The response was very positive. Several cards came in with handwritten thanks.

Communicating with my co-workers at home
